Vision
Mission
Our vision is to provide homeless woman and children a fresh start in life.

Fresh Start Transitional Housing mission is to help communities by eliminating homelessness and strengthening willpower for homeless mothers with dependent(s) by providing them the skills to become self-sufficient.
Who we are

Fresh Start Transitional Home was founded in a Chicago, IL as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The nonprofit will serve homeless women with children in need of transitional housing and life skills training. Evangelist Terry is the President and Executive Director of the organization.

Our Goals

The goal of the organization is to provide interim housing and skill training so that clients can become empowered, independent individuals. Fresh Start Transitional Homes will make a significant impact on the Chicago communities and the surrounding cities in both short-term, with immediate relief from homelessness with its long-duration transitional housing, and the long-term with skill development and empowerment that will enable individuals to provide for themselves after completing the comprehensive empowerment program.

Our Services

Fresh Start is an organization that provides transitional housing and life skill training for mothers with dependent children 17 years and younger. It offers assistance to women who are frequently homeless, as they transition from dependent, often abusive relationships, into self-sufficient lifestyles. This is one of the city's women with children-facility with long-term transitional housing. Most other shelters only offer 30 days or less of housing whereas Fresh Start offers up to two years, with our on site staff including a chemical dependency counselor and family counselor.

Fresh Start offers rooms for up to 15 families at a time, each with its own kitchen facility to homeless women. Each client is allowed to stay for up to two years as long as they are clean and sober (random drug and alcohol testing determines this), and have no other place to go. Additionally, each client must be an active participant of the program:

Collaborative Approach to Empowering Individual. This is an eight-step program to develop self-sufficient clients. The different elements of the program are:
